“Digital Daydream“ is a collage of digital illustrations and 3D rendered elements. In the work created for the exhibition “The Sweetness Of Doing Nothing“, I want to reflect on how our digital self has merged with our offline self, making doing nothing increasingly difficult. Associations that arise while daydreaming on the computer, e.g. during Zoom meetings, online activism or chatting with friends. In doing so, I draw on pop culture references such as the novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?“ by Philip K. Dick and the recurring Y2K computer aesthetic.
